How To Make Everything
United States
Приєднався 11 лют 2015
Today, getting what you need is as easy as a trip to the store; from food to clothing, energy, medicine, and so much more. Andy will discover what it takes to make everything from scratch. His mission is to understand complex manufacturing and production processes that are often taken for granted, doing it all himself. Each week he'll travel the world to bypass the modern supply chain in oder to harvest raw materials straight from the source. Along the way, he’s answering the questions you never thought to ask. Andy is learning How To Make Everything!

The Roman’s weren’t the first people to have glass it was Egypt😂
I've seen the pump drill used more as a early centrifuge than as a drill.
For the pump, just use a screw piece. Something that is actually supposed to drill through wood. Don't use a flat head
Then you put it on a pivot point so you can swing it up and down left and right, would be dope.
Says the guy who is making it out of southern pine😂😂😂
From somethine people can follow along if they want to try now just need chemistry lab
So da Vinci might've had a little "serial" to him .
I think with a little experimentation using aluminum powder as a flux medium, you will find the right recipe to perform a vacuum injection mold that is all done in an enclosed container. The trick will be submerging the mold into cold water afterwards. What you will end up with is an aluminized Ruperts drop Dagger 🗡 or small sword. (Letter opener) ❤😂
PIGGY NOOOOOO
i went to his sword casting class
How many hours are needed to smooth out the grind stone to uniformity
Get excited for season 4.
Pump drill needs a bigger flywheel. And support the plank. It is snatching because you compress the board. Also the pump works best in sort of a abrasive cutting manner - not sure what to call it in english. The pump drill more or less turns the wood into fine powder under it. To do this it needs fair bit of force as it doesn't really "cut". The sort of a method is still used with thin sheet metal where drill is basically too agressive. Although we do use power tools. Also works amazing well for drilling ceramics and glass.
I don't even like alcohol .. But this is something about the topic of fermentation and is entertaining to watch
Make minecraft the board game and it is a mixture of snake and ladder and chess
Thank You SO MUCH for Teaching 🙏🚂🎼🌹🎶🎵⚕️💓~C< 3)>>-Z->}
He said build one of DaVincis machines and see if it works 😂, of course it does
So glad to see a new video you guys!
works really well , tough to design where its submerged all the time but that would be better results as the fluid could recoop and provide the energy through chemical reactions. impressive handiwork
Did you sand paper the quill nib tip ?
How does the quill suck up the ink ---a piece of foam or metal inside the hollow quill? --Cannot understand how the ink stays on the hollow nib ?--or do you have to laboriously dip into ink every few seconds?
I Miss Lauren....she added a sense of wonder to this series. now it's just Andy and a couple of dudes acting beefy. :\
How did you make the coffee filter, strainer, glass cup.....
Drop the Better Help sponsorship! Their "therapists" have suggested that self-deletion might be the best option, suggest "just don't be gay" as a solution for abusive parents and because they don't get paid for unscheduled consultations, they regularly ignore or hang up on off-hours emergency calls. Not to mention that the platform, itself, (unlike the "therapists"), is not restricted by confidentiality laws so they can and DO collect, store and sell your information to third parties, costing their customers potential employment, loans and insurance premiums. Better Help is worse than no help at all.

煉鐵,感覺很失敗耶,,,
i would suggest getting a fume hood for future chemical making moving forward
Last clip was a win! 🤣
I know this is an old video, and I am a few years too late, but a couple things I know from tinkering that will help. For Iron smelting, you need to tap a small hole above the bloom and let the slag pour out every 3 hours. Also, its best that once your done to extract the bloom and group hammer it on a hard surface (large oak log) into a dense ball or puck, but I guess it depends on how you plan on using it. For the bellows, cut 2 small holes in the center of your leather. One for your index or middle finger and another hole about 1 inch apart. Put your finger in the hole and use it to lift the bellows leather. The second hole allows air to rush in while lifting the leather. Then before you push down on the bellows just cover the 2nd hole by grabbing it and holding the leather tight while pushing down. Doing this also minimizes negative pressure. Each time you pull the bellows you are taking air away from the flame. I did not see a valve of any kind so that's what the hole in the leather kind of acts like. This way its always adding air to the fire making it burn much hotter which means less time pumping air. You can also synchronize your pumping. While 1 bellows is being lifted to refill the air the other is pushing air out, then vice versa, and a stream of air is constantly introduced. just that small change alone makes a huge difference. Some tips for next time!
Maybe a shorter or more tort line n some more umph
i have been replaced by robots twice in my life already.

Thanks for sharing your talents, curiosity and adventures!!!
2:10 Just finished making a cup of coffee before this video..😅thanks.
Taking money from better help lowers your ethics and credibility. They use weasel words to hook you up with unqualiified "therapists". Infinitely worse, they have been called out by the Feds for selling your private medical data and records. Do not screw over your viewers like that
For everyone curious the modern process for H2SO4. You burn sulphur to SO2 reburn it with fresh air to SO3 lead that into high concentratet H2SO4 to form H2SO7 and bring this into water where it splits into 2*H2SO4.
Not to be a party pooper but the problem with these things is that they're hillariously impractical. So you need a crew of like 4 people to lug it around and you can't really aim. And once you've fired it you need to reload which is probably worse than regular crossbows. So just get 6 crossbowmen instead and they are better.
Get the pump drill below your core, firstly. Put your hands closer to the drillshaft on the bar, push that SoB harder, and make sure you don't resist it's attempt to re-wind! You are the actuator in the design, it's only as strong as you're willing to push, and it's only as consistent as you can stay!
Which movie clip was that at 14:45..? Could somebody name the movie..?
Dont use b3tt3r help
Hey just so you know. Better help sold user data even tho they said they wouldnt.
Lead plated rock and workshop 😨
Now that we have gears and a waterwheel, the age of manual labor has officially ended. With an infinite machine that requires no fuel... we're finally truly harnessing the incredible power of nature. [All Gasp] Say goodbye to relying on manpower and hello to the age of energy!
Use an ox😅
If you have a hard time getting it through a particular hole on the draw plate do it through that draw plate again until it's does it smoothly before moving down a step
I approve.
There is also camphor oil and uginol oil in it
Congratulations on successfully making sulfuric acid! Here's a few of the many (more) uses you'll find for it: *Making hydrochloric acid from NaCl (Which in turn is very useful) *Making nitroglycerin from nitric acid and glycerol *Making flavouring agents from a carboxylic acid and an alcohol (i.e. Fisher Esterification) *Making the lead-acid battery (I would prioritize this, personally) *Converting ethanol into diethyl ether (useful solvent, anesthetic, diesel engine starting) ...and of course many more.
